Remote Residual / Policies
Privacy policy
What we collect, who can see it, and the choices you have about your information.
Who this covers
Remote Residual is operated by Purga Global, Inc. (“we,” “us”). We provide the Remote Residual Travel portal, member sharing pages, Go Gold programs and related support. This policy applies to visitors, people making enrollment enquiries, applicants, members and people whose information a member adds to the portal.
MWR Life provides the external travel membership, Ambassador enrollment and billing. This policy describes our processing; it does not replace the policies of MWR Life, travel suppliers, social communities, meeting services or video providers. Members may also communicate with you independently outside the portal.
Information we collect and its sources
We receive information directly from you, from a referring member, through your use of the portal, and from membership verification or support activities.
Accounts and membership applications
We collect names, email addresses, login identifiers, a hashed password, account preferences and sign-in records. An application includes your personal MWR website, sponsor’s name, self-reported current rank and shipping postal address. An application also includes your Facebook profile link to help authorized reviewers match your profile. If clarification is needed, you may also provide a screenshot of the signed-in MWR app menu showing your name, member ID and personal MWR website. Screenshots are optional supporting evidence. If supplied, we store the screenshot privately, remove embedded image metadata, and record the details read from it. We use your shipping address to send items to you. Authorized reviewers may compare membership details with an official back office, member export or direct team confirmation and record the source, result and review history.
If you add a profile photo, we create a resized image for your account and remove the original filename and image metadata from the saved copy. Do not submit identity documents, payment-card information, travel-account passwords or unrelated sensitive information as verification evidence.
We use the supplied information to check membership and detect duplicate accounts. When enabled, an AI service helps read the screenshot. Automatic approval requires matching information from an independent membership check; an AI reading alone does not grant access. Unclear information and conflicts are held for review. You can correct an application or request a review through our contact form.
Member activity and content
We store your calendar time-zone preference and private event titles, dates, times and notes, as well as your sharing-page name and links, setup status, program enrollment, dates and pauses, lesson progress, daily action checkmarks, Build Session reservations, rank reports, review decisions, community status, notifications, email delivery records and section preferences. These records come from your actions, the portal’s operation and authorized reviews.
Contact records and enrollment enquiries
A member can enter or import a contact’s name, email, phone number, social-profile or contact link, notes, stage and follow-up date. These details come from that member and may concern someone who has never created an account. Members must have permission or another valid basis for their collection and use.
When you enter a name and email before checkout, we make those details and the enquiry available to the referring member for enrollment follow-up. The form does not create a portal account, complete a purchase or subscribe you to the optional email series. We also record self-reported enrollment confirmations and resulting follow-up status.
Email, link activity, security and requests
For the optional email series, we keep the consent wording and version, date, email confirmation, delivery attempts, progress and stop preference. A personalized link may connect page opens, video starts, playback milestones and outbound clicks with a contact record. These signals do not prove who visited or that a purchase occurred; a forwarded link can associate another person’s visit with the original contact.
We also process technical request information, security and staff-action records, policy acceptances, privacy requests and support correspondence. Hosting and delivery providers may receive IP addresses, browser or device information and delivery diagnostics. The portal uses a hashed request address for rate limiting. We do not ask for or store your external checkout payment-card details.
How we use information
- Create and secure accounts; verify membership, access and rank information.
- Provide pages, training, contact organization, programs, reservations and requested support.
- Connect an enrollment enquiry with the referring member and support agreed follow-up.
- Deliver requested emails and service messages, record preferences and prevent unwanted repeat delivery.
- Display permitted member progress, administer published program rules and correct inaccurate records.
- Detect misuse, investigate security issues, fulfill privacy requests and meet legal obligations.
We use only the information reasonably needed for these purposes. Supplying contact details for a stated enquiry does not authorize unrelated marketing. We do not treat a purchased membership or a member’s import as consent to the follow-up email sequence.
Who receives information
The referring member and other members
The referring member can see their contact records, enrollment enquiries, associated link signals and email-series progress. Other members cannot access those private Conversations or your personal calendar events. A member’s page name and links chosen for publication are public. Profile photos and postal addresses are not displayed on public sharing pages; the photo is available in the owner’s account.
Go Gold Live participants may see a member’s first name and verified challenge progress on a leaderboard. Community providers control what other people see within their services.
Authorized staff and service providers
Authorized admins can review membership applications, review history, community approvals, contact-form submissions and account, program and contact records for operation, support, security and request handling. Contact-form information is not visible to other members. Admin access requires password and email verification, and staff actions are logged.
Hosting, email delivery and support providers process information needed to run the service. If we ship items to you, we share the recipient name and shipping address needed by fulfillment and delivery providers. When AI screenshot reading is enabled, OpenAI receives the screenshot to extract the membership details. We request that the API response not be stored for later retrieval; provider security and abuse-monitoring retention may still apply. Email providers receive recipient addresses, message contents and delivery information. If GoHighLevel is connected for delivery, that information passes through GoHighLevel. External video, meeting and checkout services may receive information directly when their content loads or you use their links.
Other disclosures
We may disclose information as required by law, to investigate misuse or protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do share information for the operating purposes described above; “no sale” does not mean no sharing of any kind.
Remote Residual does not add advertising pixels to its own portal pages. Embedded or linked providers may collect information about activity over time and across services under their own policies. Our portal settings do not control their processing.
Email choices
The seven-email follow-up sequence is an optional, unchecked choice on the enrollment form. The portal asks you to confirm your email address before the series begins. The referring member sees subscription and delivery progress. A delivery record indicates acceptance by the sending service, not proof that you opened or read a message.
Use the unsubscribe link in a series email and confirm the request on the page it opens. Confirming “I’ve enrolled,” or the member marking the contact Joined, also stops remaining series emails for that email address across referring pages. Deleting or reimporting a contact does not remove that stop preference.
Daily program emails have their own account preferences. Update them in Settings. Necessary account, verification, security and request-related messages may still be sent when needed to provide the service. Contact us if an unsubscribe link does not work. A portal opt-out does not change the preferences held by MWR Life or other independent senders.
Cookies, browser storage and activity choices
- Session and security cookies
- Keep you signed in and help protect forms from forged submissions. A member session can last up to 14 days unless ended sooner.
- Local browser preferences
- Remember dismissed tips and visited sections until you clear browser storage or use another browser.
- Optional contact-link activity
- A tab-specific preference can stop new optional portal activity signals from that tab.
Where activity sharing is available, choose “Turn off activity sharing” on the shared page. The choice is saved in session storage, so closing the tab or changing browsers can reset it. It does not erase earlier records or disable essential security processing.
The portal honors supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by disabling its optional contact-link tracking. This does not stop information you deliberately submit or the external provider’s own processing. You may manage cookies and storage in your browser; blocking essential cookies can affect sign-in or checkout.
Video embeds, meeting links and the MWR Life checkout may load content from other services and send them technical information. Review those providers’ privacy and cookie terms before using them.
How long we retain information
We keep account, contact and program records while needed to provide the service, handle requests and meet legitimate legal or security obligations. The following periods govern the portal’s maintenance schedule, subject to a documented retention hold:
- Temporary contact-import copies
- 30 days after creation. Contacts saved to Conversations remain until deleted or otherwise no longer needed.
- Optional link-activity records
- 365 days after the event.
- Security events
- 180 days after the event.
- Membership screenshots
- 90 days after a final approval or decline. Unresolved applications retain evidence needed for review; decision history stays with the account. The extracted membership details and review history remain with the account.
- Resolved privacy requests
- 730 days after handling. Open requests remain while needed for resolution.
- Email stop preferences
- A minimal email address, reason and date remain as needed to prevent the series from restarting after enrollment or unsubscribe.
Expired sessions and temporary rate-limit records are removed through maintenance. When information is deleted from active systems, restricted backup copies may remain until their backup rotation expires. They are not used for routine access. A restore must account for earlier deletion requests. A justified legal hold can delay deletion of specified records.
How we protect information
We use password hashing, role-based access, staff verification, private evidence storage, session controls and encrypted connections in production. Security also depends on protecting hosting, email access and backups. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Keep credentials private and report suspected unauthorized access promptly. Avoid placing sensitive identity, financial, medical or children’s information in free-text notes or support messages. We assess incidents and provide any notices required by applicable law.
Your rights and privacy requests
You can update account details and preferences in Settings. Applicants awaiting approval can correct their postal address on the status page. For other corrections, a copy of your information, deletion, account closure or a privacy question, use the contact form. The form is available without an account.
If you are a contact, identify the referring member or sharing page and the information involved so we can locate your record. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority before releasing or changing information. Do not send passwords or payment details. We do not disclose another person’s information to fulfill your request.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain processing; appeal a decision; or complain to a regulator. California CCPA rights apply where that law covers our business and your request. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights.
We respond within the period required by applicable law. Where the CCPA applies, access, correction and deletion requests generally require a response within 45 calendar days, with a permitted extension and notice when needed. If an exception applies or we cannot verify a request, we explain the decision. You may ask us to reconsider it and use any appeal or regulatory complaint right available to you.
Deletion can end portal access and remove program or contact records. It does not cancel a travel membership, erase records held independently by another provider, or remove the minimal stop preference needed to honor an email opt-out. We explain relevant retention exceptions when handling the request.
Children and international use
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children or request their information. Tell us if a child’s information has been submitted so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Service providers may process information in countries different from yours. Where applicable law requires protections for an international transfer, those requirements apply; use of the portal does not waive your privacy rights.
Changes to this policy
We post revisions here with an updated date and version. We communicate material changes through the portal or account email as appropriate and request any additional consent required before applying a new use. The policy in effect when information was collected remains relevant to any limits on changing its use.
